How to make Stuffed Peppers even kids will like

By

Quick and easy, but definitely delisious.

This is a great recipe for when you want to cook for different people when you aren't sure what everyone will like. It is also great for when you need something the kids will eat that doesn't contain mac and cheese or hot dogs.

Delicious Final Product

What you will need:

7 Green bell peppers

1 pound of ground beef

1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs

1 cup of shredded cheese (four cheese mexican works best)

6 cups of cooked rice

1 regular size can of tomato sauce

salt, pepper, and onion powder

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325, cut off the tops of all the green peppers and set the tops aside. With a spoon take out the seeds and thin walls on the inside (similar to seeding out a pumpkin).

2. Put 6 of the peppers (open side up) on a greased casserole dish ( 9 by 13 fits best). Place in the oven for 15-20 min. (Not meant to come out looking cooked)

3. Cook ground beef in a skillet until all brown, season with salt, pepper, and onion powder to taste. Optional- chop the remaining pepper and add to the ground beef. When fully cooked, add in can of tomato sauce. Reset oven to 350 degrees when peppers are out.

4. In a large pan make 6 cups/servings of rice of your choice (Uncle Ben's works great). When done, stir beef and rice together. Add more salt and pepper to taste.

5. Keep peppers in casserole dish, put equal amounts of mix in each pepper and around in the dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese as desired.

6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes and your all done. Great left overs also!

I haven't had stuffed green peppers in awhile and your recipe does sound delicious. How many ounces or ml are in the can of tomato sauce?

Thank you for sharing your recipe and Welcome to HubPages.

I dont have a can on me now but my best estimate would 13-15 ounces. I hope that helps.
